Linda Purl's career has spanned television, film, and stage. Purl gained widespread recognition for iconic TV roles, including Ashley Pfister (Fonzie's girlfriend) on Happy Days (1982–1983), after earlier appearing as Gloria (Richie's girlfriend)

Charlene Matlock, Ben Matlock's daughter, in the first season of Matlock (1986–1987); Helene Beesley, Pam's mother, on The Office (US version); and recurring parts in Hacks (Kathy Vance) and The Oath. She has starred in over 45 made-for-TV movies and appeared in films such as Visiting Hours (1982), Mighty Joe Young (1998), Leo and Loree (1980), and more recent works like Paul’s Promise and Bender.
