David DeLuise is the son of legendary comedian Dom DeLuise and actress Carol Arthur, he comes from a renowned show business family and began his career as a child, making his screen debut in 1979. DeLuise has built a versatile career spanning television, film, voice work, and directing, endearing himself to audiences through warm, relatable performances.

He gained widespread recognition for his starring role as Jerry Russo, the magical family patriarch and former wizard, on the Emmy-winning Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–2012), as well as in the hit movie Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009). This iconic portrayal made him one of television's most beloved TV dads. Earlier highlights include recurring roles as Bug Pollone on 3rd Rock from the Sun, Pete Shanahan on Stargate SG-1, voice work as Coop on the animated series Megas XLR, and guest appearances on shows like Gilmore Girls, Bones, NCIS, Shameless, and The Rookie.
