Our search for awesome REWIND guests covered from A to ZED to strike comedy GOLD. Please welcome Bobcat Goldthwait to the first ever Rewind Washington convention on March 28th and 29th in Puyallup. Rewind Washington will feature guests from Film, Television, Music, and Sports.
Bobcat Goldthwait a comedian, actor, director, and screenwriter renowned for his distinctive high-pitched, screechy voice and eccentric, energetic style. He rose to fame in the 1980s through stand-up comedy specials like An Evening with Bobcat Goldthwait: Share the Warmth and chaotic late-night TV appearances.
His acting career took off with memorable roles in the Police Academy franchise, playing the mohawked punk Zed in Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985), Police Academy 3: Back in Training (1986), and Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987).
He appeared in other 1980s comedies, including One Crazy Summer (1986), Burglar (1987), Hot to Trot (1988) opposite a talking horse, and as the downtrodden Eliot Loudermilk in the holiday classic Scrooged (1988) with Bill Murray.
Goldthwait also excelled in voice acting, voicing characters like Pain in Disney's Hercules (1997) and its animated series, Mr. Floppy the sarcastic bunny on Unhappily Ever After (1995–1999), and roles in shows such as Capitol Critters, Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Bob's Burgers.
He starred in and directed the cult black comedy Shakes the Clown (1991). While best known today for directing dark comedies like World's Greatest Dad (2009) with Robin Williams and God Bless America (2011).
